You can even adjust the water ratio if you prefer a thicker, more paste-like consistency for a deeper enzymatic treatment.

Yes! The powder dissolves fully upon contact with water, and working it within the palms of your hands will help it to lather and create bubbles which you can then use to cleanse with. However, some people actually enjoy the feeling of the small granules, and while the powder is soft and fine, when used at a half emulsified state, can also be used to gently provide physical exfoliation to the skin.

Since our formula uses enzymes to gently resurface your skin, you should be mindful of other strong exfoliants. We recommend avoiding the simultaneous use of high-percentage AHAs (like glycolic acid), BHAs (like salicylic acid), or physical scrubs, as layering too many exfoliating steps can cause sensitivity. If you use Retinol or prescription-strength treatments, try using this cleanser in the morning and your active treatments at night. This approach lets you enjoy a smooth, clear complexion while keeping your skin barrier happy and protected from over-exfoliation.

If you are wearing heavy makeup or waterproof sunscreen, we recommend using an oil-based cleanser first, followed by our powder wash for a thorough double cleanse. Not exactly. While our powder wash is fantastic at removing daily grime and excess oil, it doesn't replace an oil cleanser if you are wearing heavy makeup or water-resistant sunscreen. Oil cleansers are designed to melt away those stubborn, oil-based products first. We suggest using your oil cleanser as step one, then following up with our enzyme wash as your second cleanse. This ensures you get all the benefits of Papaya Protease and Rice Bran directly on your skin, leaving your pores truly clear and your texture refined, with no residue left behind.
