HISTORY
In Japan, the pomegranate fruit is traditionally used for its skin beautifying and female hormone balancing properties. The pomegranate is also considered a symbol of fertility that lives in the mythology of KISHIMOJISAN, a goddess of child-birth and motherhood, who's sculpture or painting is usually depicted holding a pomegranate in her right hand. 

SCIENCE
Pomegranate extract contains polyphenols, anthocyanins and tannins which are strong antioxidants. They help to fight off free radicals on the skin and protect the skin against UV-induced skin damages. Furthermore, it helps to reduce inflammation in the skin. It is also packed with vitamins and minerals like vitamin C that are essential in protecting and rejuvenating the skin.
